ACE Hardware Rebates

Care to guess where I like to shop most besides a craft store?? Those that know me may say computer/electronics store, but funny enough I love hardware stores. Crazy huh? There's just something about the possibility of making new things that makes me weak in the knees. Hmmm..... Well enough daydreaming for me. If you like to do just about any gardening or diy home projects, ACE is the place (sorry) for rebates and great savings this month. One of the best deals they have going is on their Scott products.

Make Mom Breakfast In Bed *Hint* *Hint*

Here's where I'm hoping that one of my children is actually reading this blog. Let me say breakfast in bed for Mother's Day sounds heavenly. One of my favorite cooking sites is Bakerella. Just clicking on the images sends me into full on day dream mode. One of the my favorite recipes on this site is their "Mini Maple Pancake Muffins." They are easy to make and a lot of fun to eat. Enjoy.

Screenprinting Ideas?

I want to learn how to screenprint. I have some great tea towels that I buy every year at Christmas. I saw the towels yesterday at a local store and now I have the bug to try some on my own. Here's a link I found on faux screen printing. There is a really great paper cutting website called Scherenschnitte who posts free patterns on Tuesdays. I'm hoping that between these two sets of instructions I can come up with something great. Wish me luck.

Eat For A Dollar A Day?

That's right... I said it... EAT FOR A DOLLAR A DAY! Of course, my pea brain has a hard time wrapping itself around this concept. But not to fear, one blogger has embraced the idea of a food budget of $365 for a whole year. Blogger "J." at 365dollaryear.blogspot.com has set a goal for herself that many could admire. Although, she recognizes that many have done similar goals for brief periods of time, this about her limited budget and "just trying to eat." I've reviewed some of her logs and they are impressive. Particularly, when you realize that she is trying to do this as a vegetarian diet. I've seen my produce bill and this alone gains my admiration. Take a look at "J's" blog and see what inspiration you get out of it.
